Mary Porter, 72, Topeka, passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2012, at Atria Hearthstone East.
Mary was born May 29, 1939 in Quenemo, the daughter of John and Gladys (Sutton) Plowman. She graduated from Melvern High School.
She was employed as a secretary at Stauffer Communications for several years before becoming disabled.
Mary married Virgil Porter on October 14, 1983. He died in October 5, 1998. Survivors include daughters, Brenda Boeckman, Kelli Clark; granddaughter, Jaime Provines, all of Topeka; and a sister, Doreen Roberts, Melvern. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.
Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
