Mary Mize

Mary Florence Mize, 92, Topeka, died Friday, July 2, 2004 at at Topeka, nursing home. She was born Nov 11, 1911, at Berryton, the daughter of james William and Emma Jane Johnson Mize. Mary graduated from Carbondale High School. She was a member of Oakland Rebekah Lodge No. 616. Topeka Bible Church, Rescue Mission Auxiliary, and Meat Cutters Union. She owned and operated the City Cafe at Wakarusa for six years, and worked for A&P Food Market for 20 years, retiring in 1975. Preceding her in death were two sisters, Hazel Livingston and Mabel Bryson, and a brother, Wesley Mize. Nieces and nephews survive. Cremation is planned. The family will have a private service at a later date. Burial of cremains will be in Carbondale Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Topeka Chapter, P.O.
