Mary "Boots" Meisenheimer, 91, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at a Topeka retirement center. She was born on April 14, 1915 in Collierstown, VA, the daughter of S.B. and Allie C. Moore Hannah. She moved to Florence, AZ in 1928 and attended the University of Arizona where she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. Boots had resided in Topeka for nearly 70 years. She was an accountant for the Federal Home Loan Bank for many before retiring. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Topeka Country Club for over 50 years. Boots married J.G. Meisenheimer on December 19, 1943 in Madison, WI. He preceded her in death on December 19, 1976. Survivors include one daughter, Sandi Nitsche of Evergreen, CO, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. John McNary of Pason, AZ. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Brewster Place Chapel. Private inurnment will take place in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.
