Mary McKee, 83, Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Midland Hospice House.
Mary was born February 21, 1928 in Onaga, the daughter of Harry and Cora (Deveny) Moody. She graduated from Onaga High School.
She worked as an instructor at Gage Center Bowling Alley for 20 years.
Mary married William "Bill" McKee on November 6, 1945 in Holton. He died August 25, 2000. Survivors include daughters, Dorothy (Bob) Ratterree, Topeka, Debbie (Dale) Brown, Auburn; son, David (Marilyn) McKee, Manhattan; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Duane Moody, Topeka; and sisters, Vera Dickson, West Plains, MO, and Marjorie Cobb, Hope, AR. She was also preceded in death by son, Dan McKee; and brother, Max Moody.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Mary will lie in state at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. on Friday and visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
