Mary Lou (Scucchi) Carney, 82, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015.
She was born September 6, 1932, in Lake Village, Arkansas, the daughter of Ugo and Floy (Yearian) Scucchi.
Mary and Paul Carney were married on April 15, 1950, in Topeka, Kansas, at St. John's Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on April 27, 2006.
Survivors include children, Steven (Teresa) Carney, Sharon (Daniel) Bush, Diana (Bill) Arnold, John (Jennifer) Carney, Daryl (Brenda) Carney, and Janet (Craig) Stevenson; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Lucille Rice and Bill Prichard.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 8, 2015, at Faith Lutheran Church, 1716 SW Gage Boulevard, Topeka, Kansas. Interment will follow in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Mary will lie in state after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or Homestead Assisted Living of Manhattan.
