Mary K. Bond-Lueske of Overbrook and formerly of Dover passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at the Brookside Retirement Center in Overbrook.
Mary was born in Olivet, Kansas, the daughter of Albert and Rose Prost.
She was married to Ross Bond; he preceded her in death in 1991. She was later married to Raymond Lueske in 1996.
Mary worked for many years as a teacher and counselor for the Santa Fe Trail school district. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Scranton.
Mary made an enormous impact on everyone that knew her. She had an infectious smile and laugh. She also had a way of making everyone feel loved. Her joys in life included dancing, playing cards and mowing the lawn.She loved her family greatly and enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids.
Her survivors include husband, Raymond Lueske; three daughters, Sharon (Mark) Golden of Carbondale, Lisa (Danny) Simpson of Galena, and Nancy Springer of Topeka; eight grandchildren, Missy Maulbeck, Tanner Doty, Sean Murphy, Jeremy Murphy, Kelsey Weekley, Aly Branch, Emily Springer, and Josey Springer; eight great-grandchildren and one sister, Elizabeth "Becky" Hills.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A family rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 18 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel; the family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 19 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Scranton. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Scranton.
