Mary I. Sorensen

Mary I. Sorensen, 85, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2008.
She was born December 23, 1922 in Wellington, Kansas, the daughter of Raymond and Ruby (Stanley) Krutsinger. She attended schools in Lyndon and Alma, Kansas and graduated from Lyndon High School.
She was a member of Crestview United Methodist Church.
Mary married Frederick "Fred" Sorensen on April 30, 1949 in Kansas City, Kansas. He preceded her in death on September 3, 2006. Survivors include two sons, Terry Sorensen and wife, Andrea; and Fred B. Sorensen, all of Phoenix, AZ; a daughter, Nancy Rhone and husband, Greg, Topeka; a step-daughter, Michele Rutter and husband, Jim, San Clemente, CA; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Frank, Dale and Donald Krutsinger.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, September 19, 2008 at Crestview United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Topeka.
