Mary Alice Haug, 73, of Topeka, passed away on January 20, 2019.
She was born on September 5, 1945 the daughter of August and Anita Vande Velde.
She married Ralph E. Haug, Jr. on July 17, 1965. He survives. Other survivors include children, Don Haug (Lorraine), Greg Haug (Lina), Kristine Wapelhorst (Kent), Rick Haug (Sheryl); five brothers; four sisters; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; one brother; and a granddaughter, Samantha Haug.
Mary Alice enjoyed spending time with her husband and best friend, Ralph. She also loved watching her KU Jayhawks, LA Dodgers, and Green Bay Packers. She looked forward to their trips to the casino, and finishing crossword puzzles. Mary Alice loved watching hummingbirds and squirrels.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 321 NE Freeman, Topeka. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Private burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in St. Marys, KS.
