Mary Francis Albers

Mary Francis Albers, 88, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2012 at Aldersgate Village. She was born on September 5, 1924 in Topeka to Frank Earl and Jessie (Busey) Wells.
On June 3, 1951 she married Bob Albers. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Shewmake.
Mary attended Topeka schools, Washburn University and graduated from Central Missouri State University. She was a member of Seabrook United Church of Christ, Washburn Walkers, American Association of University Women and Retired Teachers Association. She taught school in Parsons and Topeka for many years.
Mary is survived by her children, Greg Albers of Topeka and Debbie (Charles) Peterson of Edmond, OK and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 27 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel.
