Mary Ella Haines, 80, of Osage City, passed away Friday, October 20, 2006.
She was born October 12, 1926, the daughter of Harry and Ella (Tippin) Hanlon. Mary Ella graduated from Westport High School, KCMO and attended Kansas City Junior College. She was employed by Stormont-Vail as a secretary in Intensive Care.
She was united in marriage to Walter H. Haines in 1948.
Mary Ella was a member of Lowman United Methodist Church and attended Osage City United Methodist Church more recently.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Kivitter, Leavenworth and Patricia Copp, Iola, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her son, Mark Haines, and her parents.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 24 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, Topeka, KS. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka, KS. She will lie in state after 9 a.m. on Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be given to Osage City United Methodist Church, 219 S. 6th Street, Osage City, KS 66523.
