Mary Joella Brown, 90, of Topeka, passed away Monday, March 13, 2018.
She was a longtime children's librarian at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library.
Many children and adults will remember with fondness her vivid storytelling skills.
Over the past few years she had developed something of a fan base concerning her editorials in the Topeka Capital Journal.
Joella had been a resident of Rolling Hills Health Center for the past decade.
She is survived by her brother Roger Brown of New York City.
In honoring her wishes cremation is planned and no services are scheduled.
