Mary Abraham Langston, 87, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at her home.
She was born July 30, 1925 in New Castle, PA, the daughter of David and Mary Deba (Yeseen) Abraham.
Mary received her Bachelor's Degree in Christian Education from Phillips University, Enid, OK and received a Master's Degree in Education from Washburn University.
Mrs. Langston taught Reading and English at Landon Middle School and Robinson Middle School.
She was an Elder Emeritus of West Side Christian Church, Topeka.
Mary married The Rev. Dr. Robert A. Langston, Jr., on August 13, 1953. He survives of the home. Other survivors include two children, David (Kathy) Langston, Tulsa, OK and their children, Joshua (Robyn) Langston, Britney (Mark) Ramkaran, and Chance and Aysia Watson and Deba (David) Brant, Topeka and their children, Samantha, John and Alexandria Brant; and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Charles Joseph, Joseph Joseph, Alex Abraham and an infant sister.
A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the West Side Christian Church, 432 SW Lindenwood Ave., Topeka, KS 66606. Private family interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Topeka. Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is assisting the family.
