Marvin E. Reiman, 85, of Topeka passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at his home.
He was born June 4, 1919 in Topeka, the son of Frederick and Emelia Reiman.
He graduated from Topeka High School in 1937. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in England during World War II. After the war, he went to work for the Santa Fe Railroad as a machinist, retiring after thirty five years. For the last twenty years, he was a courier for Griffith and Blair Realtors. He was an active member of the Topeka Camera Club for many years and was a member of First Christian Church.
He married Martha Smith in March of 1946 in Lawrence, KS. She preceded him in death on July 4, 1998. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Marla German in 2004 and a grandson, Christian Reiman in 1975.
Survivors include a son Jerry Reiman and his wife Jeanie of Topeka, a granddaughter Janie German, Topeka; two grandsons, Michael German and his wife Jena, Aberdeen, SD, and Jim German, Topeka.
Mr. Reiman will lie in state after 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 2, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will greet friends from 7:00 to 8:00 pm that evening.
A funeral service will be held Monday, January 3, 2005 at the funeral home with burial to follow in Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery.
