Marty Ray "Tex" McCowan, 45, Larned, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2008.
Marty was born November 13, 1963 in Mexico, MO, the son of Clarence Walter and Doris Jean (Dodd) McCowan.
He graduated from Bovina High School in Bovina, TX. He later served in the U.S. Navy.
He was a tattoo artist.
Survivors include son, John Thomas McCowan, Wichita; step-daughter, Marissa Tharp, Wichita; father and step-mother, Clarence Walter and Linda McCowan, Pawnee Rock; mother, Doris Jean McCowan, Middletown, MO.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2008 at the family farm in Kingdom City, MO.
