Martha L. Ryan

Martha Louise Ryan, 76, of Topeka, passed away on September 22, 2018.

She was born on May 24, 1942 in Manhattan, KS to James T. and Louise (Schell) Ryan.

She is survived by daughter, Susan Bullock; son, John Bullock and his wife Eliza; and grandsons, Cooper and Kiefer Bullock.

Martha attended Manhattan Public Schools. She earned degrees from KU: a Bachelor's in Secondary Education and a Master's in Personnel and Organizational Psychology.

Martha taught for USD 501, Hayden High School, and Washburn University. She worked for Bossler and Associates, Security Benefit, and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.

Martha served as a Cub Scout Den Mother, a Junior Great Books Leader, treasurer of the Junior League of Topeka, and President of Topeka Panhellenic.

She played violin with the Topeka Civic Symphony. Martha belonged to the Delta Delta Delta Alumnae Group, and First Congregational Church.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at First Congregational Church, 1701 SW Collins Avenue, Topeka.
