Martha L. Smoker, 75, of Tecumseh, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Midland Hospice House. She was born October 10, 1936 in Topeka, the daughter of John and Sarah Thompson Langley. Martha was a piano teacher and church organist for many years. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and the Gardeners of America.
Martha is survived by her husband, Bob, of 56 years, three children, Janice (Miles) Long, Olathe, Robert (Vicky) Smoker, Olathe, Karen (Denis) Payne, Raytown, seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday with Celebration of Life Services at 10:00 a.m. Monday at First Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow in Keene Cemetery at Eskridge. Memorial contributions may be given to First Church of the Nazarene, 1001 SW Buchanan, Topeka, KS 66604 or the American Cancer Society, 1315 SW Arrowhead Rd., Topeka, KS 66604. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is assisting the family.
