Martha Jane Hazzard-Reynolds

Martha Jane Hazzard -Reynolds, 72, Topeka, passed away and was reunited with her husband on Sunday, May 28, 2006 at her home. She was born on January 7, 1934 in Topeka, the daughter of James M. and Mabel E. Anderson Hazzard. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1952 and attended the University of Kansas. She was employed by Capitol Federal Savings for 35 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Eskridge Baptist Church. Martha married Timmy Reynolds on November 30, 1997 in Eskridge. He preceded her in death on January 7, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Ray Hazzard. Survivors include one brother, Robert J. Hazzard of Ozawkie, three nephews, Ray Hazzard, Jr., Daniel Hazzard and Steve Hazzard and one niece, Susan Kaspar. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Cremation will follow services. Private inurnment will take place in West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Martha will lie in state after Noon Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening.
