Mark Kary

Mark S. Kary, 51, of Topeka, passed away, Saturday, July 2, 2005 at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

He was born November 13, 1953 in Salina, Kansas the son of Philip J. and Gladys N. Nelson Kary.

Mark worked as a switchman/brakeman thirty- two years for the Union Pacific Railroad.

He married Linda L. Salem August 10, 1974 in Salina. She survives. Other survivors include his mother, Gladys Kary, Topeka; three sons, John, Ryan, and Adam Kary, all of Topeka; a sister; Rosanne Early, New Richmond, Wis.; a brother William Kary, Grain Valley, Mo. five nieces and four nephews

Mark was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Philip Kary.

He will be missed by many but his spirit still lives on.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said 11:00 am Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church. Mr. Kary will lie in state after 12:00 noon Tuesday at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where a rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday. The family will greet friends until 8:00 p.m. following the rosary.
