Mark A. Guy

Mark A. Guy, born on May 5, 1959, in Wichita, Kansas, passed away on February 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy filled with love, laughter, and unwavering dedication. Mark’s journey through life was vibrant and full of purpose, touching the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.

 Mark served his country honorably as a Military Police Officer in the United States Army, a role that ignited his lifelong commitment to service and community. His steadfast determination and remarkable work ethic carried him through various vocations, including a position as an assistant to the principal by being the school security officer at Jefferson West High School. His career eventually took him to Blue Cross and Blue Shield, where he worked diligently as a Maintenance Technician. A proud graduate of Jefferson West High School, Mark always cherished the memories of his formative years.

 Mark was a faithful member of the Meriden Community Church, finding strength and fellowship in the Bible study groups he cherished. His strong sense of community was evident in both his professional and personal life, where he embraced every opportunity to bring joy to others. Known for his infectious humor and hard-working spirit, his determination inspired those around him to find laughter even in the mundane.

 In his spare time, Mark was an accomplished handyman, capable of fixing anything with duct tape, and he held a deep passion for woodworking. An animal lover at heart, he especially enjoyed raising chickens, finding peace in the simple joys of life. Mark was devoted to his family, coaching his children's sports teams and creating treasured memories with his adoring grandchildren—Jacey, Caleb, Skylar, Emily, Marcus, Mathew, Joe, Madalynn, Carter, Jacob, and Jordan.

 Mark is survived by his beloved spouse, Rhonda Guy; his children, Aaron Guy; Sherra (Jorge) Martinez, Kristin Guy and James (Aaron) Guy; his eleven grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren with two on the way. He is also remembered fondly by his brothers, Terry (Penny) Guy, Merle (Judy) Guy, and Doug (Beckey) Guy.

 Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Ann Guy and Duane L. Guy, whose loving influence shaped the man he became.

 As we celebrate the life of Mark A. Guy, we remember not only the man we lost, but also the incredible moments he shared with those around him. His laughter, compassion, and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
