Marjorie Jenkins

Marjorie E. Jenkins, 84, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, October 8 at a local care facility.

She was born May 16, 1921 in Neuchatel, Kansas, the daughter of Leroy C. and Gertrude G. Bonjour Keeney.

She was a 1939 graduate of Onaga High School. She graduated from the Stewart Beauty Academy in 1940 and was a beautician for many years in Salina and Onaga. She was an avid square dancer and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a member of the Methodist church in Wamego for many years.

She married LeRoy J. Ayers on April 10, 1940 in Pawnee City, NE. He preceded her in death in 1950. She later married Orville L. Jenkins on March 8, 1953 in Holton, Kansas. He preceded her in death in 1978. She was also preceded in death by a grandchild and a great great grandchild.

Survivors include a son, David L. Ayers, Ottawa; two daughters, Sandra McDaniel, Topeka and Judith Ayers, a snowbird; a step-son, Morris Jenkins, Cheyenne, WY;four grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, four great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.

Mrs. Jenkins was cremated. Services will be at a later date in Wamego.
