Marjorie Lois (Meyer) Harrison, 86, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 6, 2016, at Lexington Park, Topeka.
Marjorie was born October 13, 1930 to Herman H. Meyer and Tillie (Richter) Meyer in Alma, KS. Baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church of Alma. Graduated from Alma High School and attended Palmer Business School in Manhattan and worked in both Manhattan and Topeka.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, George A. Harrison. They were married on September 24, 1950 at Saint John's Lutheran Church in Alma. She had one brother, Kenneth W. Meyer (deceased). She is survived by her children, Rick (Mary) Harrison, David (Mellody) Harrison and D'Wayn (David) Stone and her grandchildren Emilee (Jesse) Schuchman, Haley (Deron) Harrison-Lee, Devin Stone, Gabriella Harrison, Alexandra Stone, Ryan Harrison, Megan Harrison and her great-granddaughters, Brooklyn Schuchman, Caroline Lee and Blaikley Schuchman.
Marjorie was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Topeka for over 40 years.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 901 SW Fillmore Street, Topeka, KS. The family will greet friends an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the funeral service at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Alma, KS.
