Marjorie Clark

Marjorie "Margie" Clark, 69, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Manor Care Home.

She was born on February 23, 1947, in Alcoa, Tennessee, to Willard and Lilly Taylor.

She graduated from Alcoa High School in 1965 and The University of Tennessee (Knoxville) in 1969 with a major in education.

Margie married Joe Clark, who she met at the University, on June 7, 1969 in Alcoa, Tennessee.

They moved to the Chicago area and lived there for the next 22 years where Margie taught 5th grade and received her master's degree in education. They moved to Topeka in 1992. She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church.

Margie enjoyed playing the organ, piano and reading.

She is survived by her husband; daughter, Catherine "Cathy" (Bryan) Zancho; and four grandchildren, Hanna, Veronica, Parker and Lydia.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at First Southern Baptist Church, 1912 SW Gage Blvd, Topeka, KS 66604. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Margie's wishes were to be cremated and scattered in the Smoky Mountains near Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
