Marion M. Kieffer, 73, of Topeka, passed away on June 18, 2017 at Midland Care.
Marion May Balusek was born on September 19, 1943 in Topeka, KS to William J. Balusek, Sr. and Maxine R. (Mix) Balusek.
She grew up in Topeka, KS, graduating from Topeka High School.
Marion married Gale Edwin Kieffer on August 9, 1976.
She loved painting, embroidery, gardening, genealogy, and animals. Above all else, Marion enjoyed spending time with her family, and caring for others.
She is survived by her husband, Gale Kieffer, of Topeka; son Cameron (Monica) Kieffer, of Topeka; sisters, Rose (Jon) Puff, of Springfield, MO, Anne (Chuck) Dinger, of Topeka, KS, and Judy (Scott) Coffey, of Little Elm, TX; a brother, William "Billy" Balusek, Jr. (Donita) of Topeka, KS; half-brother, Dennis (Janice) Lungstrum, of Howe, OK; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2017 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka. A memorial service will begin at 6:00 p.m.
Private inurnment will take place at a later date at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery & Mausoleum, Topeka.
Memorial contributions in her honor may be made to the Helping Hands Humane Society, Midland Care, or the Arab Shriner's Travel Fund.
