Marilyn Joy Willard, 77, Topeka, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2010 at Aldersgate Village.
Marilyn was born September 13, 1932 in St. Joseph, MO, the daughter of Chester and Elsie (Brookman) Haynie. She graduated from Lafayette High School in 1950. She attended Stephens College in Columbia, MO. She attended First Assembly of God Church.
Marilyn married Wayne P. Willard in 1953. They later divorced. Survivors include daughter, Lisa (Dwight) Parman, Topeka; granddaughters, Camille, Candi, and great granddaughter, Mya. A son, Brandon David Willard, preceded her in death in 2005.
Private family burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at First Congregational Church of Topeka. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Topeka Rescue Mission, 600 N. Kansas Avenue, Topeka, Kansas 66608 or Cat Association of Topeka, 1719 SW Gage, Topeka, Kansas 66604.
