Marilyn Fincham

Marilyn L. Fincham, 73, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka.

She was born April 11, 1938 in Marysville, KS, the daughter of Herman and Folka Ubben Hofeling. She had resided at Rossville Manor for the past 15 years, and the family would like to give a special thanks to the staff who took special care of mom. Marilyn married James Fincham on September 7, 1956 at the Emanuel State Line Lutheran Church in Wymore, NE. They were married for 50 years before he preceded her in death on February 28, 2007.

Survivors include four children, DeAnna (Gordon) Gibson, Dan (Pattie) Fincham, James (Lisa) Fincham, Jr., and Don (Patricia Elliott) Fincham, seven grandchildren, Sherry (John Fagan) , Cindy (Eric) Williams, and Laurie Fincham, Brooke and Grace Gibson, Brandon Fincham and Tasha (J.T.) Poort and eight great-grandchildren, Jarred, Jordan, Joshua, Ellarie, Lilly, Ali, Eli and Daniel. Marilyn was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Hofeling, who resided in Beatrice, NE.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Marilyn will lie in state after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
