Marilyn Sue "Susie" Down, 68, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020.
She was born October 15, 1952, in Topeka, the daughter of Earl Larue and Emily Ellen (Reynolds) Kuebler. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School.
Susie owned and operated Susie's Day Care in Topeka for 30 years until retiring.
She was a member of Topeka Bible Church.
Susie married Danny Down on May 28, 1988 in Topeka. He survives in Topeka. Other survivors include two daughters, Ellen (Mike) Scales of Colorado Springs, CO and Emily (Skyland) Love of Topeka; two sons, Sean (Amy) Nolte of Wichita, KS and Micah Down of Topeka; her step-sons, Danny (Michelle) Down of Mulberry, FL and Matthew Down of Topeka; 19 grandchildren, Collin and Cade Nolte, Bailey (Adam) Weaver, Josiah, Halle, Isaac Scales, Isabelle (Saliegh) Deane, Chris, Ella and Grace Edwards, Dru and Drennon Love, Larue, Sylas and Eamon Down and Austen, Robert Down, Lilly Teter and Matthew Down, Jr.; and her brother, Richard (Cheri) Kuebler.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Carolyn Spencer.
Susie loved her family especially her grandchildren, her family's sporting events and shopping. Christmas was her favorite holiday.
A celebration of her life will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at the Mount Hope Funeral Chapel, 4700 SW 17th Street, Topeka. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
