Marie B. Powell, 95, Topeka, passed away, Wed., Jan. 30, 2008 at Midland Hospice House.
Marie was born in Randall, KS on May 4, 1912, the daughter of Edward and Lydia (Dobbins) Bodding.
She resided in Topeka from 1941-1958, moving to Perry, GA in 1958-2000.
Marie married Norton H. Powell in Randall, KS on January 22, 1941. He preceded her in death on April 22, 1960.
She worked for the Internal Revenue Service as a clerk, retiring after 20 years of service.
Marie was a member of First United Methodist Church in Perry, GA.
She is survived by her niece, Sandra (David) Dexter; great niece Marsha (Michael) Diggs; great nephews, Jeffrey, and Brett (Leann) Dexter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Edna Engel and 2 nephews, Rex Engel and Scott Dexter.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30p.m. on Feb. 4th at Ft. Leavenworth Cemetery.
