Marie Hooper

Marie S. Hooper, 90, of Topeka, formerly of Junction City, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at a Topeka hospital.

Mrs. Hooper was born September 2, 1914 in Geary County, Kansas, the daughter of Edward and Ida Black Edwards and grew up in the McDowell Creek area.

She married Amos Hooper in July, 1934. He preceded her in death in 1983. Survivors include a son: Floyd Hooper, Topeka; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters: Delores Elaine Hooper and Phyllis Arlene Hooper-Wright.

Graveside services will be held at Highland Cemetery in Junction City on Saturday, February 26, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. Mrs Hooper will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel after 12:00 noon on Friday. Visitation will be from 7:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Friday.
