Marie L. Bram, 84, of Topeka, passed away Monday, July 24, 2006 at a local hospital.
She was born December 10, 1921 in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the daughter of Reuben and Leta (Hoover) Woodward.
She graduated from Topeka High School. She was a homemaker and longtime resident of Oakland and was a member of Oakland United Methodist Church. Caring for her children and her home was her primary vocation. She and her husband were avid campers and loved to travel. In her later years she was a resident of Thornton Place Retirement Community.
She married Wilbur "Bill" Bram on September 13, 1941 in Topeka. He preceded her in death in 1993. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Woodward in 1995.
Survivors include two sons, Dana Bram and his wife Connie of Lawrence and Steven Bram and his wife Christine of Keller, TX; five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two sisters, Coralie Esser of Topeka and Louise Noffsinger of Champaign, IL.
Mrs. Bram will lie in state after 2:00 pm today at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will greet friends from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, July 28 at the funeral home with burial to follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
