Margie DeGraw, 91, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017.
She was born on October 28, 1925 in Wamego, KS to Carl and Anna (Dewey) Tucker.
She graduated from Wamego High School, and went on to attend Washburn University.
Margie worked as an accountant for the VA Medical Center in Topeka, KS for many years.
She enjoyed traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. She loved animals, especially cats. In her younger years she enjoyed square dancing, and boating with Dean.
She was a member of University United Methodist Church, and was very active in church activities.
Margie married Glenn "Dean" DeGraw on April 8, 1950 in Clay Center, KS. He preceded her in death on November 12, 2010.
She is survived by a niece, Debra Morrison-Orton, of Longmont, CO; nephews, Carl Martin and Kevin McCain; a great-niece, Kelsey Morrison-Orton; a great-great nephew, Kayden Sandrini; her "adopted-daughter" Sheila Strouse; as well as numerous great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dean DeGraw; a brother, Russell Tucker; and a sister, Ruth Johnson.
The family will greet friends during a reception from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 2, 2017 at Mount Hope Cemetery, 4700 SW 17th Street, Topeka.
