Margie Jewel Dalton, 87, Topeka, passed away Monday, February 23, 2015.
She was born June 3, 1927, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of Alfred and Mary Anna (Langenfeld) Stone and sister to Mildred, Matilda, Howard, Helen, Melvin, Clifford, Keith and Bernice. In 1945, she graduated from South High School in Minneapolis, MN and then attended Garden City Jr. College.
Margie did clerical work for several local businesses. She was an active member of Crestview United Methodist Church since 1958, Arab Shrine Lady and the Topeka Woman's Club.
Margie married Richmond A. Dalton, Jr. on June 1, 1946 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by seven siblings.
Survivors include her children, Kevin Dalton, of the home and Nancy Gaskell, Maryland; brother, Keith Stone, Virginia; grandchildren, Ryan (Christy) Gaskell, Andy Gaskell, Rebecca (Sam) Dimmerling; great-grandchildren, Dakota and Charlotte Dimmerling, Emma Gaskell and Matthew Betterelli, all of Maryland.
Margie loved to read and play bridge, as well as and spend time with her family.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Crestview United Methodist Church. Burial follows at 3:00 p.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery in Enterprise. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church.
