Margie Blanton

Margie Ann Blanton, 73, of Topeka, passed away at her home on Monday, February 14, 2005.

She was born August 2, 1931 in Pampa, Texas, the daughter of Jessie D. and Minnie Ann Neugent Goddard.

Mrs. Blanaton was an Army Wife traveling with her husband throught the United States and overseas from 1947 to 1978. She came to Topeka in 1975, when her husband was assigned here.

She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Shawnee Country Club, Civic Newcomers and the Womens Club. She also served as a Volunteer at Stormont Vail Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Blanton married Clay E. Blanton in Pampa, Texas on June 22, 1947. He survives. Other survivors include three daughters: Holly Ann Pitchford, Plano, TX, Debora Nanette Wolf, LasVegas, NV., Christe Mariette Potter, Davidson, MI and a son: Haloran Clay Blanton, McCall, ID and 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church on Friday, February 18, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. Inurnment will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, DC.
