Margarette Lane
Margarette L. "Maggie" Lane, 77, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, October 23 at Topeka Presbyterian Manor.
She was born November 20, 1927 in Topeka, the daughter of Alexander and Ethyl Baker Rogers.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Gilbert and her husband Gary, Linda Clark and her husband Gary, all of Topeka, three sisters; Eva Marie Manning, Topeka, Francis Rogers, Illinois, Phyllis Ashcraft, Eudora; four grandchildren; Heather Kern, Overland Park, KS, Jennifer Gilbert, Brian Gilbert and Michael Edwards, of Topeka.
She was preceded in death by one son, one sister and two brothers and one grandchild.
Mrs. Lane will lie in state after 1:00 pm, Tuesday, October 25 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 pm that evening. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, October 26 at Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery.
