Margaret A. Rocereto, 83, passed away on February 4, 2007.
She was born in Topeka on January 14, 1924, the daughter of Fred and Alta Huebner. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1941 and Geneva College, Beaver Falls, PA in 1945. She met her future husband, Vince, at Geneva and they were married on April 18, 1944, shortly before he went overseas for his WWII service.
Margaret was a homemaker and active in her community. She was a past president of PEO, Chapter AJ as well as the Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center Auxiliary. She was a life long member of the Topeka Reformed Presbyterian Church and treasurer of its Women's Missionary Society for many years.
Margaret enjoyed and excelled at entertaining her family and friends. She loved to travel and had been to many foreign countries. She also avidly enjoyed golf, tennis, reading and classical music. Her greatest love however was her husband, her children and her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Vincent L. Rocereto; son Paul Rocereto and his wife Dianne of Beaufort, S.C.; daughter Anne Lobell and her husband Steve of Topeka; daughter Mary Rocereto of Tampa, FL and sister Elizabeth Martin and her husband William of Topeka. In addition, Margaret is survived by her grandchildren, Rebecca and Jacob Rocereto, Sam and Tom Lobell, and Michael Lee and her two nephews; Fred Martin and his wife Faith of Pittsburgh, PA and John Martin and his wife Eloise of Catoosa, OK.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
