Margaret Peggy Milbrett

Margaret R. "Peggy" Milbrett, 50, of Tecumseh, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2010 at KU Medical Center. She was born on December 3, 1959 in Mankato, MN to Marcel "Sal" and Rose (Kelly) Frederick. Peggy graduated from Mankato West High School in Minnesota, class of 1978. She married Doug on April 25, 1981 at St. John's Catholic Church in Mankato, MN. She was a school bus driver for the Shawnee Heights School District, where she transported children with special needs. She also worked as a home health care CNA. Peggy was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, T.A.R.C., and past auxiliary board member of M.R.C.I. in Mankato, MN. She was an exceptional mother, grandmother and wife. Peggy enjoyed her Friday date nights, Saturday morning garage sales and Sunday drives in the country with Doug.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Douglas ; daughter Nicole (Marques) Wilson and granddaughters Samantha and Ariana, Germany; step grandchildren, Kimara Jackson and Deonte Wilson, Texas; son Sam Milbrett, Tecumseh; her father Marcel "Sal" Frederick, Mankato, MN; sisters, Kathi (Ernie) Swartout, Hastings, MN., Vicky (Kevin) McLaughlin, Mankato, MN; Becky (Mitch) Aspelund, Minnetonka, MN; Mary (Dennis) Potz, White Bear Lake, MN; Molly (Jesse) Wolff, Englewood, CO.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 16 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2700 SE Virginia, Topeka, KS. Peggy will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. on Monday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, with a rosary at 6 p.m. and visitation from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew Catholic Church, or T.A.R.C.
