Margaret Mary "Mickey" Osborn, 84, Topeka, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014. She was born April 24, 1929, in Emporia, Kansas, the daughter of Charles and Effie Wirsig. Mickey was a secretary and bookkeeper at the Topeka Capital Journal, where she retired.
She was a member and pianist of the University United Methodist Church. Mickey was president of Sigma Beta Phi from 1999 until 2000 and a past member of Order of the Eastern Star Topeka Chapter No. 462 from 1953 until 1981.
Survivors include children, Teri (Roger) Burwell, Rebecca (John) Copeland, Dixie Daugherty, Jodie Osborn and Mitch (Courtney) Osborn; brother, Harry (Meg) Wirsig; 15 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by husband, Gene and son, Kelly.
Memorial services will be 1:00 pm., Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice. To leave a message for the family online, please visit www.PenwellGabelTopeka.com.
