Margaret "Mickie" Logan Wait, 85, Topeka, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Midland Hospice House.
Mickie was born January 3, 1929 in Topeka, the daughter of Harry and Leila (James) Logan. She attended Randolph Elementary, Boswell Junior High and graduated from Topeka High School and Washburn University.
She was employed as a Society Reporter in the early 1950's at the Topeka Daily Capital and later worked as a Proof reader with the Kansas Legislature, Office of the Revisers of Statutes.
She was a member of Washburn University Foundation board, PEO Chapter F, Alpha Phi Sorority, and the John Haupt Chapter of the D.A.R.
Mickie married Conant Wait, Jr. on June 7, 1947 in Topeka at Grace Cathedral. He died January 11, 2012. Survivors include son, Thomas (Moira) Wait, Herndon, VA; and grandsons, Gavin Wait, Charleston, SC and Logan Wait, Harrisonburg, VA. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Wait; and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Logan Murphy.
Mickie has chosen cremation and no services are planned.Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606 or the Salvation Army, 1320 SE 6th, Topeka, Kansas 66607.
