Margaret L. Walters, 81, Topeka, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Aldersgate Village.
Margaret was born January 21, 1932 in Eskridge, the daughter of John O. and Blanche (Marken) Berridge.
She worked for Hallmark Cards for 12 years and later Marsh-McLennan, Brier Payne Meade Insurance Company, retiring in 1994.
She was a member of Tecumseh United Methodist Church.
Margaret married Hubert D. Walters on April 23, 1949 in Topeka. He died January 19, 2005. Survivors include son, Steven W. (Randi) Walters, Topeka; daughters, Theresa D. (Phil) Ortega and Vicki L. Walters, all of Topeka; sister, Donna Baker, Topeka; daughter-in-law, Vickie Walters; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Larry E. Walters; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund at Aldersgate Village or Grace Hospice.
