Margaret B. Fisher, 82, of Topeka, passed away, Friday, October 1, 2004 at her home.
She was born May 18, 1922 in Murray County, TN, the daughter of Samuel Kessler and Ethel (Floyd) Foster.
She was a 1940 graduate Santa Fe High School , Santa Fe, Tennessee. Margaret has resided in Topeka since 1959.
She worked as an administrative assistant at the Menninger Clinic 30 years.
She married Vernon T. Fisher October 2, 1944 at Nashville, TN. He preceded her in death November 16, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her sister Clara F. Hutcherson. Survivors include, two sons, Vernon T. (Tally) Fisher and Robert B. Fisher, both of Topeka; one sister, Louise Batey, Nashville, TN; two brothers, Samuel Kessler Foster, Jr., Nashville, TN; Allison Brown Foster, Sr., Columbia, TN, her grandchildren, Kelly Ann Matukewicz, Justin T. Fisher, and her great grandchildren Jerica A. Essman and Alexis Matukewicz.
Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be held 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Private inurnment will at Penwell-Gabel Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to MIdland Hospice Care, 200 S.W. Frazier Cr., Topeka, KS 66606. Online condolences May be left at www.penwellgabel.com.
