Margaret Elizabeth Huntley, of Topeka, died on Thursday, October 30, 2014.
Margaret was born in Mecklenburg County, NC the daughter of Samuel F. and Flora Q. (Jones) Mullis. She graduated from Mecklenburg County High School. She also attended Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and Kings Business College in Charlotte, NC.
She was married to Patrick R. Huntley on December 9, 1945 in Charlotte, NC.
Margaret worked as a secretary in Charlotte, NC and in Washington, DC for the Institute for Defense Analysis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat Huntley, and their son, Mikel Huntley.
Survivors include her sister, Mary Hinson, daughter-in-law, Cheryl Huntley, and two granddaughters, Holly Huntley Cooper and Malinda Huntley. She appreciated the assistance of her care-giver, Denise Taylor.
Margaret donated her body for medical research at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Aldersgate Village Good Samaritan Fund, 7220 SW Asbury Drive, Topeka, KS 66614.
