Margaret Emily Daniel, 94, of Dover, passed away, Monday, March 4, 2008.
She was born June 8, 1913 in Welda, KS the daughter of Archie and Rosann Olson Bishop. Margaret graduated in 1932 from Delavan High School, Delavan, KS.
She married Carl F. Daniel November 17, 1937 in Topeka. He preceded her in death November 1, 1993. She is survived by her son, Dan Daniel and his wife Mary, Topeka; her sister, Cleo Bettles, Council Grove, KS; and many nieces and nephews including Darlene Loveland, Maple Hill, KS; Dixie Blodgett, Maple Hill, KS; Dana Blindt, Topeka; Tina Ferman, Anchorage, AK; Tony Loveland, Harveyville, KS; Jana Phillips, Allen, KS; and Doc Blodgett, Topeka. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Carlene Ann Daniel; and her brothers, Elza, Clyde, Ralph and Roy Bishop.
She owned and operated Carl & Margaret's Place on K4 Hwy in rural Shawnee County from 1946-1977.
Margaret was a life member of the First Christian Church and a member of the Royal Neighbors of America.
She will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Sunday until 12:00 noon Tuesday at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday March 11, 2008 at the Dover Cemetery. Mrs. Daniel requested no flowers. To leave a message for the family please visit www.PenwellGabel.com.
