Margaret Ansdell Moler, 90, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2007. She was born on March 12, 1917 in Jamestown, KS, the daughter of Fred and Ora Good Ansdell. She graduated from Jamestown High School and Kansas State University where she played basketball. She taught school in Centralia and Carterville in Kansas and in Carthage, MO. She received a Masters Degree from the University of Kansas. Margaret then moved with her husband, Donald to Charleston, IL where they lived from 1951 - 2006. She had resided in Topeka since 2006. Margaret was a county commissioner in Coles Co., IL. She was a member of PEO, a charter member of Apples & Oranges and the Charleston Reading Circle. She volunteered for the Sarah Bush Lincoln Medical Center in Charleston, IL. She was a member of the Charleston Country Club. Margaret is survived by her husband of 64 years, Donald L. Moler, one son, Donald L. Moler, Jr., and wife, Judy of Topeka, three grandsons, Seth, Eric, Marc and wife, Julie and one sister, Joye Ansdell of Manhattan. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Countryside United Methodist Church Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Jamestown City Library, c/o Patty Zimmer, 814 Elm, Jamestown, KS 66948-9761. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
