Margaret Ann Sayler

Margaret Ann Sayler, 79, of Topeka, died Sunday, November 14, 2004 at a Topeka care facility. She was born on October 17, 1925 at Topeka, the daughter of Joseph and Elsie Helmund Borovick. She gruaduated from Topeka High School and graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing in 1946. She was employed by St. Francis Hospital and Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 1986. She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church. She married LeRoy DeWitt on October 23, 1946. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1996. She married Gene L. Sayler on March 28, 1998. He survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Kaff of Overbrook, Ks., Julie O'Dell of Topeka, one God-daughter, Rochelle Jager of Denison, Ks., three grandchildren, Delaney O'Dell, Brenna Kaff and Sam Kaff. She was preceded in death by one son, Leroy "Lee" DeWitt, Jr. in 1950 and her brother, Joe Borovick, Jr. in 1932 and her twin sister, Mary E. Sipes in 1982. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First Southern Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Sayler will lie in state after noon Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.
