Marcina F. Baker, 89, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Brewster Place. She was born March 10, 1928 in Centralia, Kansas, the daughter of Walter H. and Cecil C. (Johnson) Ward.
Marcina graduated from Centralia High School. She was employed as an office manager for the State of Kansas before retiring.
Marcina married Richard E. Baker on December 3, 1955. He survives. Other survivors include their children, Brenda (Ken) Carlson of Ankeny, Iowa, David (Kassi) Baker of Topeka, four grandchildren, Ryan (Dani) and Kyle Carlson and Jeremy (Ashley) and Tyler (Brooke) Baker and three great-grandchildren, Mia, Liam and Briella.
Marcina was preceded in death by one infant son, Jeffrey Baker, two brothers and one sister.
Cremation has taken place and no memorial services are planned. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Great Lakes Hospice, 3715 SW 29th St., Ste. 100, Topeka, Kansas 66614.
