Marcelle Schaub

July 30, 1933 — August 25, 2015

Marcelle Schaub, devoted wife of Ed Schaub, passed away Tuesday, August 25th at Midland Hospice. She was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, to Allie Thrift and John Cruda Smith.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Sandy Schaub and Susan Brinker (Michael); two grandchildren, Abby and Ryan Brinker; two sisters, Inez McFarling and Lynn Perry, both of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; one brother, Arnold Smith (LaVerne) also of Chapel Hill; and one brother-in-law, David Schaub (Joanne) of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is survived by several nephews and grandnieces.

Marcelle was a loving wife for more than 60 years, marrying Ed in 1952, at the age of 19. Since then she has been an ever devoted mother and grandmother, as well as a constant volunteer. She has aided in political campaigns throughout her life, in addition to giving aid to charities consistently.

A memorial visitation for Marcelle will be held on the afternoon of Sunday, August 30th from 4:00-6:00 pm at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in Marcelle Schaub's memory.
