Marcella K. Anderson, 91, of Topeka, died on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Presbyterian Manor in Topeka.
Marcella was born on September 23, 1923 in Eudora, KS the daughter of Loren and Martha (Peer) Wade.
Marcella graduated from Baker University with a degree in accounting and worked for over 38 years for the State of Kanas; she retired in 1988.
Marcella was married to John W. Edwards on February 4, 1951; he preceded her in death in 1968. Marcella later married John Anderson on May 1, 1971; he preceded her in death in 1995.
She is survived by three step-children, James E. (Debra) Anderson of Herington, Paul A. (Penny) Anderson of Topeka, and Janet (Douglas) Anderson-Story of Emporia; a sister, Rosemary Visser of Manhattan, 7 grandchildren, Stephan Anderson-Story, Joseph Anderson-Story, Ryan (Jami) Anderson, Sean (Jackie) Anderson, Paige Anderson, Nicole (Shane) Winrick, and Shannon Anderson; two great-grandchildren, J. J. Anderson and Channing Winrick as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Evelyn Visser.
Marcella's wishes were to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 20, 2014 at Second Presbyterian Church, 210 NW Menninger Rd., Topeka, KS. Burial will take place following the service at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery.
