Marcella D. Eschenburg, 91, Topeka, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Brewster Place.
She was born April 11, 1925 in Illinois, the daughter of Frank and Myrtle Driscoll.
Marcella was raised in Topeka, the youngest of twelve children and graduated from Hayden Catholic High School.
She was employed by Kansas Power and Light and later worked for McEachron Elementary School.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and P.E.O.
Marcella married Robert D. Eschenburg in 1952 in Syracuse, NY. He died September 11, 2006.
Survivors include a son, Marc Eschenburg, The Woodlands, TX; two daughters, Karen Heinrich and Kathy Duvall-Roquemore, both of Lubbock, TX; and six grandchildren, Matthew and Mindy Eschenburg, Kristi and Julie Heinrich, and Erin Sikes and Taylor Duvall. She is also survived by her only surviving sibling, Marjorie Rinehart and her son Mike Rinehart of Topeka.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Klasse Chapel at First United Methodist Church, 600 S. Topeka Blvd, where the family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
