Mabel Frances Ufheil Mabel Frances Ufheil, 104, Topeka, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017 at a local care center. Frances was born January 12, 1913 in Fredonia, the daughter of Edman and Bertha (Pierce) Chapman. She graduated from Fredonia High School.
Frances married Conrad Kennedy in 1935. He died in 1948. They lived on the East Coast before moving to Rio de Janerio.
She moved to San Antonio, Texas where she met and married Jack Ufheil in 1952. He died in 1992. She worked at their motel and made lampshades.
She enjoyed traveling, cooking and entertaining, sewing. She loved her many schnauzers and the San Antonio Spurs.
Survivors include nieces and nephews and their extended families.
A Memorial Service will be held at McCrite Health Care Center Monday October 2 at 1:30. Private family inurnment will be at the Fredonia City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri.
The family would like to thank the staff at McCrite and Great Lake Caring Hospice for taking care of our amazing Aunt "Frankie".
