M. Arlene Taylor, 92, Shawnee, formerly of Topeka, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2015.
Arlene was born August 15, 1923 in Delphos, the daughter of Leslie C. and Mary C. (Purdy) Locke. She graduated from Minneapolis, KS High School and Clarks School of Business in Topeka.
She was employed as a Legal Secretary with the State of Kansas, Reviser of Statute Office, retiring in 1982.
She was a member of Potwin Presbyterian Church.
Arlene married Vasco L. "Vern" Taylor on January 1, 1946 in Minneapolis, KS. He died November 29, 1993. Survivors include daughters, Pamela Sue Weldele, Salt Lake City, UT, Mary Jane (Ron)Frison, Shawnee; grandchildren, Amy Frison, Lori (Chris) Hoisington, Tallee (Jason) Boyd; and great-grandchildren, Tristen, Hunter, and Tyler Hosington, Briar and Cohen Boyd.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
