Lynn F. Franke

Lynn Frederick Franke of Topeka, KS, passed away December 2, 2015 at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka. Lynn was 70 years old.

He was born on May 16th, 1945 in Sabetha, KS. The son of Arden and Vera (Keller) Franke, he graduated from Fairview High School in 1963 and attended Emporia State University.

Lynn served in the United States Air Force from 1967-1971.

In 1975 he married Karen Brobst, and together they had two children, Travis and Kara.

Lynn worked 30 years for The United States Postal Service, and retired in 2010. He was a member of the Fairlawn Church of the Nazarene. Lynn was an amazing husband, father and grandfather. He was a devout Christian who constantly put other people's well being above his own.

Lynn is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Karen S. Franke; son, Travis Franke; daughter, Kara Conley and her husband, Ryan; and two grandchildren, Abby and Madison.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 5 at Fairlawn Church of the Nazarene, 730 SW Fairlawn Ave., Topeka KS. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 4 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave. in Topeka.

Memorial Contributions can be made to Emporia State Federal Credit Union (ESFCU). Contributions will go towards an educational fund for Lynn's grandchildren, Abby and Madison.
